Dan Rubin, CEO and Board Member
Daniel Rubin has had almost 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and business leader focused on the semiconductor and display manufacturing markets. Prior to Impakt Holdings, he cofounded Synos Technology, which focused on Atomic Layer deposition solutions for the OLED display industry. Most recently he served as Vice Chairman of the Board for Ichor and a Director for Cipherome, a bioinformatics start-up. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Trustees for The Healdsburg School.
Kirk Johnson, Chief Financial Officer
Kirk Johnson has over 34 years’ experience in finance for technology companies in the semiconductor, solar and biomechanical markets. Mr. Johnson has raised over $145M for privately held companies and has served on their founding teams. In his career, Mr. Johnson has established numerous overseas companies while building manufacturing facilities in the US and abroad. Mr. Johnson has extensive M&A experience working for both the buyer and the seller. Mr. Johnson has served as VP/CFO for public and private companies, including Atonarp, Cypress Semiconductor, AG Associates, Torrex, Guide Technology, Integrated Materials, Scifiniti, and Qbotix. He holds an MBA, BA from Whittier College.
Daniel Yang, Chief Operating Officer
Daniel Yang has 20 years of product development and leadership experience in the capital equipment & controls/automation industries. He has an excellent track record of building multi-disciplinary high performing teams to deliver successful semiconductor cap-ex products. Prior to Impakt, he was VP of engineering at Synos Technology, a global semiconductor/LED process equipment company. He built engineering and operations teams and set up infrastructure from the ground up in US and Korea. Daniel also has extensive controls & automation background. He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering at MIT.
Lou Dorlin, Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development
Lou Dorlin serves as vice president of corporate strategy and business development, responsible for driving the company’s strategy, mergers and acquisitions and business activities. Prior joining IMPAKT, Mr. Dorlin served as director of North American sales at Wacker Polysilicon for 16 years. He has more than 24 years of semiconductor, solar, and contract manufacturing services experience. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dorlin held various sales and business development positions at Sanmina-SCI and West Coast Quart Corporation. Mr. Dorlin graduated from San Jose State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Mike Vranich – Vice President of Supply Chain and Strategic Accounts
Mike Vranich is responsible for driving the company’s global supply chain strategy and directing and managing IMPAKT’s key accounts. Prior to joining IMPAKT, Mike was CEO of his own consulting company for supply chain, business development, and operations. Prior to that, Mike spent 20 plus years working for Applied Materials in Supply Chain and Operations, supporting various business divisions in the Semiconductor, Solar, and Display industries. Mr. Vranich holds a BS with a dual matriculate in Economics and Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain/Operations.
Jae-Hyeon Ji – Korea President
Mr. Jae-Hyeon Ji joined A-1 Korea in 2004. He set-up A-1 Engineering Korea and as an initial leader, he has steadily led the Korean factory. Mr. Ji has developed advanced products for 17 years in electronic, mechanical, and automobile fields, and has established a stable system for the manufacture of display equipment for the following 13 years, laying the groundwork for company development. Prior to IMPAKT, He has been conducting research and development for the mechanism and automation of electronic products at Samsung Electronics, has excellent performance of component element technology, and has the realization of manufacturing and quality system.
In addition, He has contributed to the development of new automobiles of Samsung Motors and contributed to the launch of factory innovations and excellent automobiles.He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University in Korea.
